Theme: Adapting to Global Market Shifts: Strategies for Resilience and Growth in African Capital
Markets

The African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) is proud to announce its 28th Annual Conference,
to be hosted by the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) in Kigali, Rwanda. ASEA Conference is an annual
event organized by the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) in collaboration with Member
Exchanges. It is a premier event that attracts participants from all over the world.
The major objective of the conference is to foster collaboration, innovation, and growth in African
capital markets. This year’s conference will bring together regulators, investors, policymakers, and
financial market experts to discuss strategies for navigating global economic uncertainties while
strengthening Africa’s Capital Markets resilience. Because of this exciting theme, topics, and expected
outcome of the Conference, we are proposing to invite distinguished speakers and reknown panelists
ranging from Heads of Governments, Multinational Organizations, Pioneers of entrepreneurship on
our continent and beyond to this conference.

Rwanda, the host nation, stands as a testament to economic transformation and visionary leadership.
Known for its political stability, progressive policies, and rapid technological adoption, Rwanda has
become a hub for investment and innovation in Africa. With a rising services sector, a growing fintech
ecosystem, and a commitment to sustainable development, Rwanda presents an intriguing case for
capital market growth and diversification.
As the global economic landscape shifts due to geopolitical tensions, inflationary pressures, and
evolving financial regulations, African capital markets must adapt to these changes while
addressing local challenges such as liquidity constraints, limited retail participation, and infrastructure
gaps. This year’s theme, “Adapting to Global Market Shifts: Strategies for Resilience and Growth,” is
therefore a call to action for African markets to:

• Enhance market integration to attract cross-border investments.
• Leverage technology and innovation to improve efficiency as well as continuously seeking new
products, services and processes to stay ahead of the curve.
• Strengthen regulatory frameworks to enhance investor confidence.
• Develop sustainable financing models to support Africa’s development agenda.
