2024 Kigali Triennial

This first edition of the Kigali Triennial will bring together artists who share the same field of research and observation, in a way the same bay/Inganzo. The program is largely pan-African with artists from across the continent. Particular attention is paid to emerging artists and creators who, through their research in theater, dance, visual arts, music, cinema, literature, design, digital arts, fashion, design and culinary arts, show an African, but also a feminine and generational perspective. The program also welcomes several artists from four European countries (Belgium, France, Italy and the UK), as well as two from the Middle East (Syria and Lebanon).

The first objective of the Kigali Triennial is to highlight the Rwandan cultural scene, animated by several generations of inspired artists in all fields.

Rwanda ATP 50 Challenge Tour

The two-week event, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa will take place in Kigali from February 26 to March 10, 2024. The ATP CHALLENGER 50 event is powered by Ministry of Sports
The ATP Challenger Tour 50 event is the second-highest of professional tennis competition after the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals). The Tour attracts some of the best players from across the world ranked between 100-250. This is a professional players' pathway to the ATP Tour.

Some of the greatest players in men's tennis, including Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick kick-started their careers at this level, earning ATP ranking points that propelled them to the top.

The ATP Challenger Tour currently takes place in 45 countries around the world, and are seeking to expand the circuit's horizon in Africa. The objective of bringing it to Rwanda is to bring these high-profile tennis competitions closer to thousands of aspiring African tennis professionals.
The ATP Challenger Tour Challenger Tour is the first event in Sub-Saharan Africa. The selection of Rwanda comes after the successful hosting of six (06) high-profile International Tennis Federation (ITF) events in 2023.

Race Around Rwanda 2024

The Race around Rwanda (RaR) is an ultra endurance cycling event that leads contestants over a spectacular route around the beautiful Rwandan countryside. It is a self supported, single stage race covering almost 1,000km and 17,000 meters of elevation gain. About 40% of the race will be gravel roads, the rest is raced on smooth tarmac.

The Tour du Rwanda is one of Africa's most celebrated cycling events. Its route is across the length and breadth of the visually stunning country of 1000 hills.
