Science and Partnership for Agriculture Conference (SPAC) 2024

The 2024 edition of the SPAC conference will host its usual lead conferences among many other convenings; it will host the Third Biennial Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Conference; the Knowledge Management for Agricultural Development (KM4AgD) conference, the AU-EU Horizon Europe partnership projects coordinated by FARA viz., CEAFIRST and StEPFoS, a workshop on advancing the application of foresight in African agriculture and a reflection workshop on the AfDB-supported Technologies for African Agriculture (TAAT) programme, plus several others.

The joint conference will provide the opportunity to leverage the participation of high-level individuals in Africa and European agriculture to jointly address pertinent emerging issues affecting the continent. The four conferences and their constituents will provide important technical and policy information from different engagements.

Dans le but d'œuvrer pour l'instauration d'une culture pointue de formation de Hauts Cadres d'entreprises, et de mettre en lumière les meilleures pratiques développées par des professionnels d'entreprises sur le continent, nous avons initié depuis deux années les Congrès Africains des Professionnels (CAP).
Depuis, chaque année, 05 professionnels par pays (30 au total) sont triés sur le volet, en fonction de leur expérience, leur forte contribution à l'avancement d'autres professionnels et la pertinence / la cohérence de leurs actions déployées, pour participer aux Congrès.
Ces séminaires de formation de haut niveau sont des évènements panafricains sous la forme du Codéveloppement professionnel : un outil de résolution des problèmes basé sur l'intelligence collective, selon le principe de l'échange entre pairs.
Ainsi, les CAP sont des espaces pour se former, échanger, prendre du recul sur le quotidien, expérimenter des idées auprès des pairs, s'enrichir du vécu des autres, et rechercher des pistes de solutions dans une double dynamique où chaque participant apprend, forme et se forme ; le tout encadré et animé par des Experts reconnus.

CONTEXTE
La responsabilité sociale des entreprises (RSE) et la durabilité sont devenues des piliers essentiels pour promouvoir une croissance économique respectueuse de l'environnement et socialement responsable. L'intégration des principes de RSE et de durabilité dans les pratiques d'achat, de logistique et de gestion des marchés publics peut apporter des avantages significatifs aux entreprises, aux gouvernements et aux populations locales. Ces principes favorisent également une meilleure gestion des ressources, une réduction des déchets et des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, ainsi qu'une amélioration des conditions de travail et de vie.
Le thème du congrès "RSE et Durabilité en Afrique : stratégies et pratiques innovantes" a été choisi pour encourager l'adoption de pratiques responsables et durables dans ces domaines critiques. En mettant l'accent sur les stratégies et les pratiques innovantes, le congrès vise à inspirer les professionnels à repenser leurs approches pour créer des chaînes d'approvisionnement plus résilientes et éthiques, optimiser la gestion logistique, réduire les impacts environnementaux et promouvoir le bien-être des communautés locales.

OBJECTIFS
– Explorer les défis et les opportunités liés à la promotion de la RSE et de la durabilité dans le contexte africain.
– Partager les meilleures pratiques et les initiatives innovantes en matière de RSE et de durabilité dans les
domaines des achats, de la logistique, des moyens généraux et des marchés publics.
– Faciliter le réseautage et l'échange d'expériences entre les professionnels et les organisations engagés dans la
promotion de la RSE en Afrique.
– Identifier les leviers et les stratégies pour intégrer efficacement la RSE et la durabilité dans les politiques et les
pratiques des entreprises et des institutions publiques en Afrique.

60th Annual Meeting of The Association for Tropical Biology & Conservation
