A Thousand Hills Festival - ATHF Festival

Hill Festival is the first edition of an annual festival located in beautiful Rwanda. Its aim is to provide a unique musical experience and Africa's first music festival of its kind.

Hill Festival Kigali is all about people coming together and having an experience of a lifetime while listening to great music in a beautiful setting in the heart of Africa. Our aim is to strengthen the local community identity and spirit by providing a platform for international and local artists to showcase their talents to a broad and international audience.

Kigali Global Dialogue - Observers Research Foundation

The Kigali Global Dialogue brings together policymakers, academics, civil society, and the private sector from around the world to deliberate and devise solutions to critical sustainable development challenges facing the global community today.

The three-day conference is co-hosted by the Observer Research Foundation, ORF America, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Rwanda. The inaugural edition of the dialogue saw the participation of more than 350 people from 50 countries.

The last three years have witnessed geopolitical, social, ecological, and economic upheaval amplified by the exogenous shock of the pandemic.

As the decade of action progresses, it is critical to share experiences and solutions and forge new partnerships. Many of our development and economic orthodoxies – especially those propagated by high-income countries – have failed to deliver sustainable and equitable development for most of the world. New development institutions, financial arrangements, and paradigms are urgently needed and are already emerging.

It is clear that African nations will create and lead new models for development and growth over the coming decades. The success of these experiences will serve as templates for other parts of the world as they navigate development pathways more responsive to climate constraints and social, environmental, and economic imperatives.

AFRICAN PEERING AND INTERCONNECTION FORUM (AFPIF) 2022

The African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) 2022 will take place from 23 – 25 August at Kigali Marriott Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda.
This event will be held as a hybrid event, with participants present in Rwanda, and others online and will focus on Internet interconnection dynamics, content distribution, and transit obstacles at local and regional levels.

AfPIF aims to promote the development of national and cross border interconnection and offers the African technical community a unique opportunity to showcase interconnection challenges and opportunities.

This year's forum marks a return to in – person sessions since its postponement in 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Dulwich centre in collaboration with SOS Rwanda are delighted to invite you to Rwanda – the land of a thousand hills – for the next international narrative therapy and community work conference.

There is a significant history of Rwandan practitioners making contributions to the field of narrative practice. Practitioners from Ibuka (the Rwandan national genocide survivors association) began engaging with narrative therapy and community work ideas over ten years ago. Their work is featured in ‘Working with memory in the shadow of genocide‘

This conference will feature the diverse work of Rwandan practitioners with children and families and from narrative therapists and community workers from many different parts of the world including: Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Burundi, Kenya, Somalia, Eritrea, Australia, Israel, South Africa, Canada, Somaliland, Belgium, Netherlands, India, Norway, UK, USA, Turkey, Hong Kong, Kurdistan (Iraq), Nepal & Brazil.
